I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day, right up to the end of the age. – Matthew 28

JESUS is the reason we’ve met here on this blog for the past 50 days.  We are at the end of our Lent journey.  I will admit that some of the days were harder than others.  Some days I was too sick to write, some days I was tired, some days brought writers block, some days I just plain didn’t want to do it.  But I was astonished that through all of them I would sit down, write, and in the end the words would come.  It brought me joy beyond what I could’ve dreamed when I started 49 days ago.  This was Jesus!

When Lent was approaching and I thought about how I could do something different this season, this blog came into my head.  The thought of writing something each day and follow a gospel through to the death and rising of Jesus was scary.  Would anyone want to read one let alone one each day?  But every day I felt pushed into committing to do it and the journey of pictures and words was born.  This was Jesus!

Often through the course of these 50 days, I have gone to bed thanking God for giving me the courage to follow his prompting.  I have thanked him for giving me the words to write.  I have thanked him for the privilege to be the hands that got to type what he wanted each of you to hear.  You see, he knew which one of you would read which of these blogs.  He knew exactly what you needed to hear.  It wasn’t me it was Jesus!

Thank you for reading.  Thank you for taking this journey with me.  If you’ve read one or fifty please know that I’m thankful for you.  I’m grateful that you took time from your days to be with me in study and prayer.  I am humbled by our walk together and I pray that you will continue to find something special in the devotions that follow.

Jesus is spectacular!  You are a child of this phenomenal God!  You were given a front row seat to experience Jesus story.  You were given access to a life of freedom because he died for you.  Your sins are forgiven.  Your place at home with God is eternal.  This was because of Jesus!  He is with you every day:

I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.

STUDY – Matthew 28 (Risen from the Dead Part Two) – The Message Bible

Meanwhile, the eleven disciples were on their way to Galilee, headed for the mountain Jesus had set for their reunion.  The moment they saw him they worshipped him.  Some, though, held back, not sure about worship, about risking themselves totally.

Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge:  “God authorized and commanded me to commission you:  Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you.  I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.”
